Generation of damaged stocks / Return of Stales and Damages from the market, accounting for the same and providing requisite compensation to the Trade is one of the big challenges faced by FMCG companies who deal with goods which have a predefined shelf life. Audit Process
  • Audit of damaged stocks generated at depots or received from market, based on company policy
  • Compare with book stocks and arrive at variances
  • Audit conducted at the lowest stock keeping unit followed by client to enable ease of transaction monitoring
  • Data captured in electronic form either manually or through usage of scanning devices
  • Follow through up to destruction of stocks
  • Communication of debit / credit notes to the client's customers
  • The Stales process is developed on a common understanding of the process of return of stocks from market by FMCG companies
  • Company specific requirements are captured as part of Knowledge Capture process and incorporated into the Damage audit process for each client
  • We currently cover more than 10000 such audits every year. More than 50% of our team is specifically trained to handle these audits. This process is backed up by a robust IT portal which provides analysis of the damages at every point at brand pack level across predefined time periods. This facilitates comparison across time periods, between regions, between key distributors etc.,
